Jack

Jack Peterson was recorded as Jacob Peterson on the South Sydney past players web site, ssralmanac.com. It is also the name recorded on the Wikipedia web site. It is unclear where that information was sourced.

From subsequent investigation it is evident that this player’s name was John “Jack” Peterson. Jack did live at Smithfield and also spent time in the Lidcombe area. He played for Wests and Souths over a period of time and was a reliable hooker for both Clubs. He was sometimes referred to by the nickname of “Hooker.”
