Ted

Edwin “Ted” Mewton was born at Picton, NSW and grew up in the NSW southern highlands town of Moss Vale. He was first recorded playing with the Moss Vale Second Grade team in 1928 at the age of seventeen.

Ted quickly made his way into the Moss Vale First Grade team and was a prominent player with that Club until the end of the 1933 season. His experience in Country football was of great benefit when he joined Wests in 1936.
