Cal

Cal Lynch was born in the south western NSW town of Tumut in 1915. At an early age the Lynch family moved to Temora where the Lynch brothers learned to play rugby League.

Tragedy struck the Lynch family in the 1920’s. By the time Cal was fourteen years old both of his parents had died.

Temora has a great reputation as being a rugby league nursery which prevails to current times. During the 1930’s Temora was a power house in Maher Cup football and the Lynch brothers had a significant part to play in that success. Cal Lynch went on to captain the Temora team in the mid 1930’s.
