Vince

Educated at St Joseph’s College Hunters Hill, Vince Sheehan played rugby union with future Wests players, Jim Sharman and A. “Sen” Black. The captain of the team was the renowned Jack Beaton.

Vince played with St Josephs College in 1932 and 1933. He was also recorded playing for his home team of Binnaway in September 1933. Vince was described in the Rugby League News as a “fine, big, hefty lump of a schoolboy.”

The Sydney Morning Herald reported on 21 July 1933 that; “Sheehan, at outer centre for St Josephs, is a fine attacking player and repeatedly makes valuable openings for the wings.”
