Ray

Ray Hancock was born at Canley Vale in the Western Suburbs of Sydney in 1911. His family had a small rural property and his father’s occupation was recorded as Orchardist.

He was first recorded playing with the Cabramatta Rugby League Club in 1931 but moved on to Smithfield in 1932 and then the Fairfield Club in 1933.

In 1932 Ray was the winner of the Smithfield Club’s “President’s Cup.” Ray was graded with Wests in 1933.
