Jack

Jack Hartwell was born at The Welcome, near the town of Tichborne located south of Parkes NSW.

The Hartwells are peers of the realm. Jack’s grandfather being, Sir Broderick Hartwell, 2nd Baron of Dale Hall, Essex, England.

The Hartwells received the Baronetage through Jack’s great grandfather Admiral, Sir Francis John Hartwell, 1st Baron of Dale Hall, Essex, for service to the Navy.

Jack was a Wests junior, who was graded in 1934 and made his First Grade debut the same year.
