Jack

Jack Holmes was educated at the Christian Brothers College Lewisham, NSW. He was first recorded playing rugby league with the Marrickville Club in 1923.

In 1924 Jack Holmes was once again playing with the Marrickville Third Grade rugby league team when he was noticed by the affiliated Newtown Club who wanted to grade Jack. Jack did not respond to Newtown’s approach, and the following year he turned out for Wests.
