Harry

Wests visited Goulburn, the home town of Harry ‘Tas’ Cameron in 1931. Much interest was shown in Harry. The local newspaper noted commentary by Billy Cann in the Rugby League News. His comments alluded to Harry as being a ‘potential international’.

The report noted that ‘Tas’ was an ex-Goulburn boy who was a very promising player. “It is rather a coincidence that his colleague in the five-eighth position, Norm Johnson, is also an ex-Goulburn boy. Cameron is apparently coming to the front in the game, while Johnson, who played several games with Western Suburbs Firsts last season, did very well indeed.”
