George Sherry was a Wests rugby league junior who lived in the suburb of Ashfield.
He played junior rugby league in the Christian Brothers Football Competition. From there George was selected to represent a Combined Western Suburbs team as an under fourteen player.
Making his way up through the junior ranks, George was graded in Wests Third Grade team at the start of 1934.
