There is some uncertainty regarding the identity of Frederick Elliott. A search of NSW BD&M identifies that there was only two males with the name of Frederick Elliott born between 1895 and 1903. Given Fred Elliott’s playing profile, it is most likely that he was born within that range of years and that player #229 is Frederick William Hunt Elliott who was born at Penrith, NSW in 1900.
