Frank

Frank McCauley is the brother of Tom McCauley, Wests player #154. Both Frank and Tom McCauley attended St. Stanislaus College at Bathurst, NSW where they excelled at rugby union.

St Stanislaus played in the Schools competition as well as the Bathurst District rugby competition. It was well known for producing exceptional football players. Frank McCauley was no exception.

Frank McCauley was from a well known Ashfield family. His father Samuel, was the Comptroller General and Inspector of Prisons in NSW. Samuel McCauley was a highly respected public official and upon his death in 1919, many NSW Ministers, politicians and heads of the bureaucracy attended his funeral.
