Ted

Ted Walton was interviewed by Warren Thompson in the Family of League magazine in 2024. Part of this profile has referenced that story.

Warren Thompson noted that in rugby league there are many great stories and the career of Ted Walton is up there with the best of them. Ted lived on Jubilee Ave a short distance from Kogarah Oval, the home ground of St George. His football began in Australian Rules where he played under 10’s with St Patrick’s Kogarah.

He then changed codes to rugby league with Bexley Kingsgrove and played with the Kogarah Marist Brothers School as well. Wests player, Brian Winney was a class mate of Ted Walton at Kogarah Marist Brothers.
