Tedda

Edward “Tedda” Brooks played with the Newtown Rugby League Club from 1911 until 1921 with a break due to service in World War One.

He played forty one First Grade games for Newtown with a further eleven, First Grade games for Wests in 1922.

He was last recorded playing in the trials for Wests at the start of 1923. The Sydney Sportsman on 24 April 1923 noted;

“Brooks, Wests bald headed baby was back in the fold, just as chirpy as ever.” However this was the last of Tedda Brooks time playing at the top level.
