Jim Kinnaird’s surname was often recorded as Kinnard and sometimes Kennard. A check of NSW BD&M confirms that Kinnaird is the correct spelling.
Jim was a Wests junior and was graded in 1937. He made his First Grade debut with Wests in 1940, but the following year he moved to the inner City suburb of Annandale.
He played with the Balmain Club in 1941 and 1942. It is likely that the move to the inner city was work related, as Jim Kinnaird was a Waterside Worker.
