Cliff

Cliff Pearce was born at Uralla, NSW in the Tamworth district of NSW. Tamworth has a history of producing great players and Cliff Pearce was one of the best.

Cliff was playing with the North Tamworth Club in 1927. He gained his first representative honors that year by representing the New England and Central North regions. The following year, 1928, Cliff was selected to represent NSW Country Firsts, NSW and Australia. His rapid rise and representative honors no doubt caught the attention of many Clubs, but it was Wests in 1929 that signed Cliff Pearce to its ranks.

Cliff Pearce gave great service to Wests until the end of 1937. In 2004 he was nominated as Centre in Wests Team of the Century and in 2009 he was inducted into Wests Hall of Fame.
