Alan Blake was the son of Wests Arthur Blake. Arthur was a Wests pioneer who played in 1908 and 1909.
Alan played junior league with Summer Hill and was selected for the Western Suburbs A Grade Inter District team in 1931.
In 1932, Alan was graded with Wests.
