Jack

Jack Matterson was a Wests junior who grew up in the Lidcombe area. He played with the Lidcombe Rugby League Club and was selected for the Western Districts President’s Cup team in 1925 and 1926.

Jack worked as a Meat Packer at the state abattoirs located at Flemington. He was described as a quiet man, but nevertheless a good rugby league player.
