At the Wests Annual General Meeting in March 1927, Honour Caps were presented to Neil Matterson, Eric Doig, Gordon Stettler, Frank McMillan, Eddie Stapleton and Joe Drew for the service they had given to the Club.
The Annual Report noted that pleasure was expressed at the progress of the Junior League, notably in the Canterbury Bankstown area. It was noted that the Club recognised that it must rely on juniors for future recruits. To further promote junior league in the District, it was decided to hold an annual Knock-out Competition at Pratten Park, for the Cup to be presented by Club President Charles Winn. The competition was to be contested by B Grade Clubs and the three leading Clubs in C Grade.
Wests once again had a strong junior competition. Canterbury Bankstown were runners-up in the President’s Cup competition in 1927, and Western Suburbs defeated Canterbury Bankstown in the inter district competition, and then defeated Western Districts in the final. In comparison, Eastern Suburbs and Glebe had no junior competitions in 1927.
