Victor Dwyer was born at Murrurundi, NSW but grew up at Campsie in the Canterbury Bankstown district. In 1927 he was selected to play for the Canterbury Bankstown President’s Cup team. Canterbury juniors prior to 1935 was part of Wests territory.

Vic Dwyer made an impression in the President’s Cup team and was graded with Wests towards the end of the 1927 season.
