Roy Farnsworth was the younger brother of the famous rugby league footballers, Bill and Viv Farnsworth.
Roy Farnsworth played with Newtown up until he enlisted in the First World War. He had played for NSW prior to the war, but like many men of his era his rugby league career was disrupted by service in the Great War. In 1919, after the war, Roy played a few games for Wests before retiring.
