Mick

Reginald “Mick” Smith grew up in the tight knit community of Riverstone in Sydney’s far west. The dominant industry and major employer in Riverstone were the meatworks.

The Riverstone Meatworks provided the land on which rugby league was played and many of the Riverstone players worked for the company. At one time the Riverstone rugby league team was known as the “Butchers.”
