Reg

Reg Southam was most likely born in the mining village of Angel Pace in the NSW district of Lithgow. By the mid 1930’s, the Southam family moved to the suburb of Concord in Sydney’s western suburbs where Reg grew up and learned to play rugby league.

Reg was graded with Wests  in 1951 and was selected for the Reserve Grade team. He played eighteen games with the Reserves, more than any other player that year.
