Reg Darke was born at Campbelltown on the outskirts of Sydney, but prior to the First World War the Darke family moved to the Sydney suburb of Granville. Reg played with Granville Royals Rugby League Club from about 1920. He played with Granville during the 1920’s and as late as 1931. During his time in the junior rugby league competition, he represented Western Districts Combined A Grade.
