Percy

Percy “Nutsy” Bolt was born in the suburb of Redfern, NSW but the family moved further to the south into the Newtown District, probably for work.

Percy’s occupation was recorded as “Potter” and the area around St Peters was known for its brick and pottery making.

Percy’s younger brother, Herbert “Nutsy” Thomas Bolt was also a very good rugby league player. Herbert was tragically killed in the First World War at Fromelles.
