Mick

Mick Shields was born at Cowdenbeath, Scotland in 1912. In 1913 the family immigrated to Australia and settled in the mining town of Kurri Kurri in the NSW, Hunter Valley. Mick first played rugby league with Kurri Kurri Juniors in the late 1920’s, and by 1933 was playing in the Kurri Kurri First Grade team.
