Joshua

Joshua Plumb was recorded in newspapers of the time as J. Plumb and D. Plumb. Joshua was born at Arrowtown, near Queenstown in the Central Otago region of New Zealand in 1897. The Plumb family emigrated to Australia in 1913, initially settling in the Sydney suburb of Woollahra.

Joshua Plumb enlisted with the AIF in August  1915 and was posted to the 2nd Divisional Artillery Column as a Gunner. On his military file is a permission note from his parents allowing Joshua to enlist. He was 18 years and 2 months old at the time of enlistment.
