The records of rugby league matches in the early 1920’s are quite limited, particularly for junior or lower grade games. As such it is not possible to build a playing profile for some of these players.
The most likely candidate for the J. Walker that played First Grade with Wests in 1922 is Joseph Carl Dowell Walker. The R. Walker that played First Grade with Wests in 1921 was most likely Joseph Walker’s brother, Reginald Edward James Walker. However until further corroborating information is found, a high degree of caution should be used in acknowledging the identity of these players.
