Jim

Wests Archive would like to thank Jim Myers for generously contributing his time and information in the preparation of this profile.

Jim grew up in the western Sydney suburb of Regents Park. He described himself as a Wests Magpies tragic attending games from an early age.

He was introduced to playing rugby league by his neighbour Brian Cook. Brian also went on and carved out a distinguished rugby league career.

Brian and Jim joined the Regents Park Club but within a year, he moved across to the neighbouring Berala Bears. Others to play with Berala at that time included Trevor Reardon and Steve Blyth

After having some success with Berala, Jim was recognised by the Wests juniors selectors and his career took off from there.
