James Thomas “Jim” Marks was born at Grafton NSW in 1914. His parents were both Teachers as was his paternal and maternal grandfathers.
His father George Marks was a Teacher in Agricultural Science which saw him living in various parts of rural NSW during his life.
Jim Marks was living at Haberfield in the Western Suburbs district while attending Sydney University where he studied Engineering.
