Jim

Jim Abercrombie played rugby union prior to the formation of the NSW Rugby League in 1908. He attended the founding meetings of both the North Sydney and Western Suburbs rugby league clubs but decided to play with Wests in 1908. Jim Abercrombie and Ted Mead played in all nine games in the inaugural season of 1908.

In 2008, Jim Abercrombie was inducted into the Western Suburbs Magpies Hall of Fame.
