Various reports indicate that there was a J Thompson that played in the three-quarters with Wests in 1911.
This player was recorded as P J Thompson, and F J Thompson, which has made identification more difficult.
There was also a J H Thompson who was a rugby union forward with Wests in 1910 and a player by the name of Thompson who was selected for the Parramatta Rugby League Junior Representative team in 1910.
A player by the name of Thompson also played for Enfield Federals Rugby Union team in 1909.
