Horace

Horace Alderson was the older brother of Bertram Ernest Alderson, Wests #105. The Alderson family in 1910, lived at Nagle St Liverpool NSW on the southern edge of the township. There is a street named Alderson Ave in Liverpool close to where they lived, which still exists.

Horace, like his brother was an accountant and probably moved closer to the city and connected to the Western Suburbs district due to the location of his employment.

There is only a limited amount of information recorded on Horace Alderson. There are reports of him competing in picnic running races. In the few reports from his union and league days it is evident he was a skilful and exciting player.
