Horace

Horace Herington was born in Adelaide, South Australia in 1886 and at the age of fourteen his family moved to Sydney.

Adapting to his new surrounds, he like many of his contemporaries played rugby union in the Ashfield district. Horace came across to play rugby league with Wests in 1908 and made his First Grade debut against Newtown in Wests famous round nine victory. He then played the final match of the season in First Grade.

Horace returned in 1909 and played a further six First Grade games. The following season he joined up with Newtown and played in Reserve Grade. No further record has been found of Horace Herington playing Grade rugby league.
