Bill

Bill Purcell was born at Neutral Bay in 1914 and grew up in that area. How he made his way to the Western Suburbs in 1935 and was graded with Wests is unknown.

He lived at the Police Depot in the suburb of Redfern in 1937 when he trained for the Police Force. It is possible that he was posted to various local Police Stations, but no record has been found to confirm this or otherwise.
