Bert Duggan played rugby union with the Ashfield Borough and Second Grade teams before playing rugby league with Wests in 1908.
He played in the very first match for Wests against Balmain and played a further three First Grade games. Bert played Reserve Grade for Wests in 1910. It is possible that he played further lower grade games but records from this time are very limited.
