Harry

Identifying Harry Clark had been problematic. He was recorded as Harry Clarke in the Wests First Grade Heritage List and the Rugby League Project. However David Middleton, the noted Sports Journalist and Rugby League Historian provided information on Harry Judge Clark and his two brothers. They all played First Grade rugby League, which clarified the identity of these players.

The earliest record attributed to Harry Clark was when he was playing rugby union for the St Silas Alexandria rugby union team in a B Grade competition in 1910. Harry then joined the Alexandria Norwood Rugby League Club in the South Sydney District in 1911. In 1912, the Sydney Sun reported; “The Alexandria Norwoods have a fine fullback in Clark.” Harry Clark was selected in the South Sydney Presidents Cup team in that year.
