Harry

The playing history of Harold Reid “Harry” Thomson has been confused with the great South Sydney representative player Hack Thompson.

Their playing records have been intertwined suggesting that Hack Thompson played longer than he actually did. The real playing record of Harry Thomson has not been accurately attributed to him. The first task was to untangle Hack Thompson from Harry Thomson.

Harry Thomson was one of the first big characters of rugby league. He was a big man for his time which was suitably matched with his self confidence.
