Harry

Harold Alfred “Harry” Bloomfield was from a well-known sporting family that resided in the Rookwood/Lidcombe locality.

He played football with the Homebush Juniors and Rookwood Orlando rugby union teams in the early 1900’s before moving on to the Burwood Borough union team.

In 1906 and 1907 he became a regular member of the Wests Rugby Union First Grade team. Harry’s experience and ability made him an ideal recruit for rugby league.
