Glen

Under Construction

Glen Brown was born in Mackay, Queensland in 1945. He played for Mt Isa when he was selected to play against the French touring team in 1964. The following year he was selected to play for Queensland and played against NSW on four occasions.

His rugby league career was disrupted when he was called up for National Service with the Army in April 1966. Glen was initially based at the 3rd Training Battalion at Singleton, NSW with the rank of Sapper. Unconfirmed reports suggest that he was subsequently relocated to an Army depot at Ashfield where he would have been able to make a connection with Wests.

He played with Wests towards the later part of the 1966 season. Glen was transferred to the 18 Field Sqn. at Wacol, then Townsville in Queensland for follow up training. His time in NSW and with Wests was only brief.
