George

George McGowan was a diminutive half back who played with Eastern Suburbs Juniors in 1911 before making the East’s Presidents Cup team in 1913.

He made his First Grade debut with Eastern Suburbs in 1915. George then joined South Sydney in 1916 and played in the premiership final that year. He joined Western Suburbs in 1918 and played through to 1922 before retiring from grade football .
