Ted Slingsby was recorded as J. Slingsby while playing for Wests but E. Slingsby while playing as a junior. There was only one person of the right age that could have played for Wests and that is Edwin James Slingsby.
He was recorded playing cricket in Queensland in 1911-12 before returning to Sydney in late 1912. Ted played cricket with the Hurlstone Park and Canterbury teams in the Western Suburbs District competition.
In 1915, Ted married but was divorced by 1928. He returned to Queensland where he lived for the remainder of his life. He died in Toowoomba, Queensland in August 1970.
