Ted

Edward “Ted” George Ellis played seven First Grade games for Wests in 1908. He was a half back or five-eighth and stood at 165 cm in height and weighed 60kg.

Ellis was not his registered birth surname, and this has created some confusion as he played throughout his football career as Edward Ellis, and this appears to have been who he was known as throughout his short life.

However, when he enlisted with the AIF in 1915, he used his registered birth name of Edward George Morgan.
