David Watson was a local boy who was born at Burwood and played with Wests Rugby Union club. He transferred across to play league with Wests in 1914.
Playing for Enfield Third Grade Rugby Union team against Concord in July 1909, David Watson scored a remarkable 9 tries in a 71-0 score line.
