Cliff

Cliff Deegan was a Homebush junior rugby league player when he was drafted straight into First Grade in August 1933.

He replaced Alan Brady who had been injured the week earlier. It was the only competition game he played for Wests that year. He was also called up to play in the end of season night series.

The 1933 season was not a good one for Wests. The Club struggled for a win in the second half of the season, but it was a good opportunity for players such as Cliff Deegan to experience Grade football.
