Charlie Collier who was an accomplished centre or wing three-quarter was first recorded playing rugby union with the South Sydney Club in 1910.
The following year he switched across to play rugby league with South Sydney. He was at Souths for two seasons and played nineteen First Grade games, scoring twelve tries.
In 1912, Charlie was living at Surry Hills, an inner Sydney suburb but by the following year he had moved to Bexley which at that time was in Wests territory. Charlie played with Wests in the 1914 season.
