Alan Whitiker’s biography of Jack Kingston describes him as follows;
“Cootamundra product first represented NSW in 1928 while playing for Cootamundra. A speedy lock forward and fine cover defender.
Kingston made his Test debut in Australia’s Third Test win over England in the 1928 Ashes series before touring with the 1929-30 Kangaroos. He played in twenty six matches on tour, including the Third Test draw and historic Fourth Test against England.”
Jack however only played three Sydney premiership games and that was with Wests. He left under controversial circumstances, but that was not the only occasion in his long career.
