Bruce

Bruce Beer grew up in the western Sydney suburb of South Strathfield. He was a talented junior rugby league player who was recognised for his ability at a young age.

Bruce captained many of the junior teams in which he played. He always played in the black and white whether it be Enfield Federals, Wests or his final club, Wentworthville.

He had a long and illustrious career but played in an era when Wests had some very good half backs, so competition was always keen for the coveted half back position in First Grade.
