There is not a lot known about Wests player #109, B. Webster. He played junior rugby union with the Burwood Cambridge Club and subsequently the Wests Rugby Union First Grade in 1910 and 1911. He was selected in the Metropolitan Rugby Union team in 1911, however in 1912 a news report noted that Webster will don the black and white jersey of Wests Rugby League team.
Evening News 22 April 1910
Only one B. Webster lived in the Western Suburbs district within the right age range and that was Beverley William Webster. Bev Webster was only twenty nine years old when he died in 1918.
In 1908 two Websters were playing in the Wests 3rd Grade Rugby Union team, one a back and the other a forward. A search of Ancestry.com disclosed that Beverley Webster had an older brother by the name of Archie Campbell Webster. It is highly likely that Archie and Beverley Webster played with Wests rugby union 3rd Grade in 1908.
Beverley Webster is buried at Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney NSW, Methodist new section 02, Grave 535.
