Athol

Athol Smith was born at Glen Innes, NSW in 1913. His family moved to the Hunter Valley town of Cessnock where Athol played his junior rugby league.

In 1934 Athol was playing junior rugby league in the Western Suburbs district. He was subsequently selected to play in Wests President’s Cup team that year.
