A. Abbott is listed as player #28 in Wests First Grade Heritage List. He is not listed as playing for Wests at all in the Rugby League Project. He is recorded playing First Grade for the Cumberland Rugby League Club in 1908.
So, there are two questions to answer. The first being who was A. Abbott and secondly did he play for Wests?
Both questions have been considered and the conclusion reached was that the player was Albert Victor Gordon Abbott, but it remains unclear as to whether he played First Grade for Wests.
While there has been a case made to provide an answer to each, further information if it exists would be useful in confirming these conclusions.
